Show Me Waves

Some time ago one of the local quilt shops I liked to frequent asked if my daughter, Dixie, would be interested in designing a patten for the 2024 Missouri Shop Hop. She has EQ8 software and likes to dabble in it.  The 2024 fabrics were a great improvement over previous years and she created this fabulous design we ultimately named Show Me Waves, with a bonus layout Show Me Around. (Fun fact: Missouri is nicknamed the Show Me State.)

Unfortunately the shop went out of business before the shop hop, but I decided to move forward with making the sample quilt as well as with writing a pattern for it.  This is a great design for using mini-panels, displaying embroidery blocks, or showcasing fussy cuts of your favorite prints. The pattern introduces a unique, no-waste method of creating the triangle-in-a-square blocks and includes tips to help you choose the right fabrics for the best illusion. While we are currently offering the pattern to local shops and scheduling classes, we hope to have it available to purchase and download here on our website in the future as we finalize an option for online shopping.  If you’d like to purchase a printed/mailed copy of the pattern in the meantime, please reach out to us through our contact page and we can customize a transaction for you via Paypal Business Solutions.

For our sample quilt, I did Edge to Edge quilting on my Handi Quilter Forte 24 longarm.  I’m gaining more confidence with each quilt!
